NQ Organics

NQ Organics

There’s nothing quite like having your very own skin care products tailored to your specific skin type and needs, but that’s exactly what spa owner, make up artist, and cosmetologist Nigar Qureshi can offer — and better still, her range is completely natural, organic, and animal cruelty free. Being in this field around 30 years, Qureshi knows that every skin type is different and so started to create her own line of organic foundations, concealers, and face creams that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each of her clients. Her products (which cost around $500) include an organic blend for anti-aging, a detoxifying and clarifying cleanser for acne prone skin, chamomile moisturizer for calm skin, and a soothing night cream. As she believes every skin type is different, she invites clients into her spa for a consultation ($250) so she can carefully examine their skin and determine their skin type and requirements. She then creates a product using her range of essential oils and ingredients which include shea butter, rose hip oil, white clay, frankincense, virgin coconut oil, walnut oil, and pear powder to name a few. As if that wasn’t enough to lure you to her spa, she also offers heavenly facial treatments which use the very same custom made products.
The Magic of Massage Therapy

The Magic of Massage Therapy

The Magic of Massage Therapy Researchers show best treatment with no issues , no side effects. Massage therapy takes over where a spa massage leaves off. This form of alternative medicine can help ease pain associated with headaches, body pains, and fibromyalgia. At the end of a stressful week, a relaxing massage might be just what you need. For people coping with injuries or chronic pain, however, massage therapy can serve as a form of alternative medicine, not just a soothing treat. Nearly one in 10 people have used therapeutic massage for many conditions, including stress, anxiety, pain, and sports injuries. One survey revealed that about 60 percent of those who used massage therapy felt that, in combination with standard medical care, it could improve their health. Massage Therapy: What Is It? In massage therapy, a trained therapist applies pressure to the muscles and other soft tissues to help heal underlying conditions. There are more than 80 different forms of massage therapy which are practiced in Spa BPZ with it’s combination, including shiatsu, Swedish, pressure point, and deep-tissue massage. Massage usually is intended to decrease pain, relax muscles, and let blood and oxygen flow freely to that area of the body. Healing techniques involving massage are thousands of years old and have been mentioned in ancient texts from Egypt, Rome, China, Greece, India, and Japan. Massage Therapy: When Is It Used? Massage therapy can be used to address a number of different health problems, including sports injuries and chronic pain. According to Schneeweiss, massage therapy is the type of alternative medicine most often acceptable to conventional doctors. Massage Therapy: Is It Effective? Massage therapy has been shown to be effective in varying degrees. Massage can help:
  • Relieve lower back pain. Therapeutic massage has been shown to be useful in alleviating lower back pain.
  • Ease migraine headaches. Some research suggests that massage therapy, in combination with other treatments, can help offset pain associated with migrainesand other chronic headaches.
  • Reduce shoulder pain. Shoulder massage has been shown to help reduce pain and improve range of motion.
  • Reduce pain and symptoms associated with carpal tunnel syndrome. One small study showed that a 15-minute professional massage once a week for four weeks, with additional self-massage therapy at home, improved pain and muscle weakness due to carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • Ease pain in cancer patients. A study of 380 adults with advanced cancer, some of whom were in hospice care, showed that massage therapy, provided by trained massage therapists, helped to reduce patients’ pain and improve their mood.
  • Ease fibromyalgia symptoms. Some studies support the use of massage therapy to reduce muscle stiffness and pain in women with fibromyalgia.
Although massage therapy has few side effects, people who have blood clots, tend to bleed or bruise easily, or are at risk of fractures should check with their doctor before scheduling a therapeutic massage. Pregnant women should also talk to their doctors before undergoing massage therapy. Massage Therapy: What Should I Expect? Massage therapy sessions typically last between 30 and 60 minutes but may be as lengthy as two hours. Some massage therapists can come to your home or job; others may require you to visit their office in a clinic, hospital, or fitness center. A massage therapist usually creates a tranquil atmosphere, with calming music, relaxing scents, and soft lighting. Fully or partially clothed, you will lie on a specially designed massage table or sit in a specially designed chair. All this facilities are available at Spa BPZ.
Body Scrub

Body Scrub

A body scrub is a popular body treatment that is basically a facial for the body: it exfoliates and hydrates your skin, leaving it smooth and soft.  A body scrub is done with an abrasive material—usually sea salt or  sugar—mixed with some kind of massage oil and an aromatic like essential oils. The scrub is followed by an application of high-quality lotion or cream that leaves your skin hydrated. A body scrub is not technically a massage because body treatments can be performed by estheticians, who are only licensed to work on skin, not the underlying muscle tissue (unless they are giving massage to the face, neck, and shoulders.)A scrub works in a few ways: As you massage it over your body, the exfoliating granules help to slough off dead skin, and the rubbing action itself boosts circulation and helps drain your lymph nodes, by increasing blood flow to the skin’s surface.
Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy that involves the use of smooth, flat, heated stones that are placed on specific points on your body. Massage therapists may also hold the stones during the massage to apply heat. The localized heat and weight of the stones are said to improve circulation and warm tense muscles, allowing the massage therapist to apply deeper pressure. Hot stone massage is suited to people who tend to feel chilly. It’s also suited for people who have muscle tension but prefer a lighter massage. The heat relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist to work the muscles using lighter pressure. Benefits : Anxiety, Back Pain, Depression, Insomnia, Osteoarthritis. It is not appropriate if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or are on medication that thins your blood. You shouldn’t get a hot stone massage if you are pregnant or have a sunburn. You also may want to reconsider if you are menopausal as it may trigger a hot flash.

Facial is important to our skin

Facial is important to our skin

There’s a wealth of information about skin care that’s readily available to us at the click of a mouse. That more than likely means your bathroom is already filled with products—peels, masks, scrubs, etc.—that can give you a serious deep clean. But while it’s great to practice good skin care, that doesn’t necessarily mean you should be skipping out on seeking professional help. And even though you may not suffer from severe acne or other chronic conditions, your complexion will still benefit from the attention of a trained esthetician. “Getting a facial is important to understand how your skin works and how it reacts to stress, hormones, and the element. “People with problematic skin should book a monthly facial. At the least, getting one every season is recommended to keep the skin balanced.”Facials are so much more than an hour of indulgent pampering. They have enormous benefits to the health and wellness of your skin, both in the short and long term.
Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal

How long does laser hair removal last ? On average, three treatments of the same area are needed to achieve the desired results. Depending on the person and condition of the hair, more treatments may be necessary. However, most people rarely need more than six treatments unless hormonal imbalances or other factors prove to be an issue. No laser hair removal machine is able to provide permanent hair removal. Most lasers are only able to result in significant hair reduction. This means that some percentage of the hair will often grow back. In patients with white or blond hair, complete regrowth is likely within about a year. In patients with dark hair and light skin, hair will be significantly reduced, but some hairs that were in the dormant phase may become active following treatment. This will result in partial hair regrowth in between the monthly sessions. Generally, after the completion of a standard treatment, hair will be kept at bay for up to 2 years. Annual maintenance sessions may be necessary to deter full regrowth.

HIFU- Skin Lifting

HIFU Skin Lifting The New Lord in the field of non –invasive face lifting and wrinkle removal High Intensity Focused Ultrasound was first applied to treat cancer and tumor. Then the surrounded tissue start to shrink, resulting in the up lifted skin. Because it leaves no trace on the epidermis, it became the new concept of non-invasive skin lifting around the world. HIFU has received unanimous positive feedback since its coming out. In the 10 thousand example treatment cases, it got 99.6% degree of satisfaction, becoming the gold standard in the filed of skin lifting and wrinkle removal. Slackness is the source of the aging of the skin. No matter the overall looseness such as double chin and fuzziness of facial outline, or partial slack such as eye pouch and nasolabial folds, they are all the signs of the incoming of slackness.
Landmarks of 4 Beautiful Skin for every Decade

Landmarks of 4 Beautiful Skin for every Decade

IN YOUR 20’S … Attention, dewy young beauties: This is the most important decade for your skin. The way you care for it now will determine what it will look like for the rest of your life. Because it’s probably at its healthiest, with great collagen support, your skin is supple. Whatever sun damage you may have has not yet started to show. Lucky you: Light reflects off the plump surface of your cheeks, giving you a healthy glow. The number one complaint among women in their 20s is acne, says Nigar Qureshi, owner of Spa But it’s largely avoidable. Most 20-somethings break out because they use dehydrating products that strip their skin of natural oils, says Hirsch. This causes oil glands to overproduce, resulting in pimples. YOUR ACTION (A MUST) Use gentle products, and focus on damage prevention. “You don’t need anti-wrinkle creams or microdermabrasion in your 20s,” says Ranella Hirsch, MD, president-elect of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery. As mentioned in oprah.com, October issue. CLEANSER: If you have normal skin, you need to wash it only before bed, says Lupo. Use a mild cleanser—either a gel, if your skin is oily, or a milky one, if it’s dry. At Spa BPZ we recommend Mary Cohr Cleansing Milk followed by toner. MOISTURIZER: Pick a brand, any brand. But be absolutely sure that your moisturizer has SPF 15 or 20, and that it gives you both UVA and UVB protection. Apply it all over your face and on your neck and chest. (This is critical no matter what your age.) Mario Badescu NIGHTTIME TREATMENT: Use a hydrating fluid or an oil-free moisturizer. Many dermatologists recommend starting on the vitamin A-derivative prescription retinoids (like Retin-A, Tazorac, and Avage)—the gold standard for reducing fine lines, stimulating collagen, and treating acne—or products containing the less potent, over-the-counter retinol. Before bed, apply a pea-size amount all over your face and right up under your eyes, then you don’t need an eye cream. ‘Best makeup starts with good skin’ as says celebrity makeup artist NIGAR QURESHI! IN YOUR 30S … In your beginning of 30’s, you start loosing elastin which is actually almost there in 3 years of age. Skin becomes thinner and finer, there’s some loss of collagen, and cell turnover has begun to slow down, making your complexion look a little dull. You’ll see an immediate improvement if you exfoliate. You’re getting enough exfoliation if you’re using a retinoid at night, says Hirsch. But if you’re not, or if your skin isn’t too sensitive to handle it, add a cleanser, moisturizer, or night cream with glycolic or salicylic acid. Avoid harsh scrubs, says Taylor. Look for one with synthetic microbeads (indicated on the label), which are gentler than those containing larger, irregularly shaped ones. Even if you’ve taken good care of your skin, you’ll probably start noticing fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes and mouth, says Susan Taylor, MD, clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Columbia University. Dark-skinned women might notice discoloration and uneven skin tone; fair-skinned women might see some hyperpigmentation (brown spots) and ruddiness. YOUR PLAN OF ACTION (A MUST) CLEANSER: In the morning, use a cleanser with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) to encourage exfoliation. In the evening, wash with a creamy cleanser. MOISTURIZER: In addition to SPF 15 or 20 with UVA/UVB protection, your moisturizer should contain antioxidants, like green or white tea, pomegranate, or vitamin C, which will protect your skin from damaging free radicals. Start wearing an eye cream daily. For dark circles, use one with hydroquinone, vitamin C, or botanicals that brighten, like kojic acid, soy, or licorice; for puffiness, look for one containing caffeine; for extra moisturization, use one with hyaluronic acid, says Taylor. NIGHTTIME TREATMENT: “Once you’re in your 30s, a retinoid or retinol isn’t optional anymore,” says Hirsch. So if you’re not on a prescription retinoid, choose a night cream or serum with retinol. As mentioned in oprah.com IN YOUR 40S … In Article skin body Omag 2007 “ I’m too old for Acne. Those great beach vacations you took in your teens are showing up on your face: You’re beginning to see cumulative sun damage in the form of blotchiness, red spots, and ruddiness. You’re also losing more collagen and elasticity, and your skin retains less moisture. Because it doesn’t reflect light evenly, your complexion is losing some of its glow. YOUR PLAN OF ACTION (A MUST) CLEANSER: Use a creamy (rather than gel) cleanser morning and night, unless you can tolerate one with a mild AHA or salicylic acid once a day, says Ava T. Shamban, MD, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at UCLA. MOISTURIZER: Supplement your broad-spectrum moisturizer, which should contain SPF 15 or 20, with a couple of creams, lotions, or serums containing at least two types of antioxidants, such as lycopene, green tea, or soy, alternating them every other day, says Shamban. You’ll get a wider benefit from switching off, because different antioxidants address different problems, says Shamban. Or, if your skin is beginning to look crepey, try a formula with peptides, which have been shown to strengthen collagen, says Hirsch. Treat dryness with a rich moisturizing cream that contains hyaluronic acid, petrolatum, shea butter, or oils. NIGHTTIME TREATMENT: A prescription retinoid is the way to go, say both Hirsch and Shamban. It reduces brown spots, increases exfoliation and collagen production, thickens the epidermis, and can reverse precancerous sun damage. If your skin can’t tolerate a retinoid every night, use it every other night. IN YOUR 50S AND BEYOND … Don’t even think of retiring from the skincare game. It’s never too late to prevent sun damage and to stop the progression of damage you may already have. Cell turnover is slow; the most significant change you’ll notice in your complexion is dryness and loss of elasticity. Expression lines no longer disappear after you stop smiling or squinting; pores are more visible, especially on the nose and cheeks. You’re likely to have developed spider veins and hyperpigmentation (age spots), and precancerous spots from sun damage. (The Elos laser works well to zap spider veins, and the laser reduces hyperpigmentation; precancerous spots can be treated with cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen) or topical medication, says Wendy E. Roberts, MD, assistant clinical professor of medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center.) Menopause can cause a multitude of skin problems, including extreme dryness, acne, and rosacea. As in I’m too old for acne in this article. Once you hit your 60s and 70s, basically all the issues that arose in your 50s become more extreme. Aren’t you glad you’re flooded with postmenopausal zest?. You are in need of a spack of makeup ,nothing more than a normal makeup-as NIGAR QURESHI,the celebrity makeup artist says ‘Makeup is girls best friend, diamond follows’! YOUR PLAN OF ACTION (A MUST) CLEANSER: Wash morning and night with a nonsoap cleanser or a creamy, foaming one. MOISTURIZER: Apply a serum containing peptides or an antioxidant like vitamin C when your face is still damp. Serums, in general, are more easily absorbed than creams and lotions. Then apply a broad-spectrum moisturizer containing SPF 15 or 20, with UVA/UVB protection. NIGHTTIME TREATMENT: Try Renova, a prescription retinoid, which is more moisturizing than others, says Roberts. Try HIFU Skin Lifting, the new lord in the field of non – invasive face lifting and wrinkle removal. HIFU has received unanimous positive feedback since its coming out. In the 10 thousand example treatment cases, it got 99.6% degree of satisfaction, becoming the gold standard in the field of skin lifting and wrinkle removal.
